Calificada por los críticos literarios de excelente, "Intemperie", publicada por Seix Barral, ha caído en el panorama literario como algo fresco y diferente, entre otras cosas, por el uso del lenguaje que hace Jesús Carrasco, nacido en Badajoz en 1972, licenciado en Educación Física y publicitario de profesión.Carrasco recupera términos en desuso del rico castellano y hace que las palabra se mastique y entre en la piel del lector, a veces, como un cuchillo, a veces, como un bálsamo, para relatar una historia en lugar que no tiene nombre, en medio de un páramo seco, en un campo desierto donde se desarrolla una fábula sobre la iniciación, la solidaridad, la dignidad y la violencia.
