A battle-hardened soldier named Tyler made a promise to an army friend, Billy, that he would look after his sister, Chloe. Tyler is a man of his word and only has a picture and an address to go by. But that picture occupies his mind all the time since Billy gave it to him.

Chloe received a picture of Billy and his squad previously and always had a fascination with one face in the crowd. He's cute, but who is he? All she knows is that he goes by the callsign Tango.

Fast forward to the present- she is celebrating her birthday with friends when the party gets out of control. She is unaware that Billy has sent Tyler to check up on her. Tyler shows up just in time to save Chloe from an attack at the party. She finally gets to put a real name to the face in the picture. Although Chloe is grateful for Tyler's help in the moment, she resents the reason he was sent. Neither has communicated feelings for the other, but it becomes obvious that they care for each other. Tyler has sworn to protect Chloe. How far will he go to make sure she is protected? What happens when Billy comes home and discovers what Tyler and Chloe have done?

This is a steamy but sweet short romance with an HEA ending.
